NEW width restrictions outside Bickley train station will see a busy road closed for three days next week.
The works on Southborough Road will permanently prevent heavy goods vehicles from using the road bridge over the railway line.
Bromley Council say the road will be closed to through traffic between May 5 and May 7 to allow the installation of the new restrictions.
A three tonne weight limit already prevents heavier vehicles from using the bridge.
A council spokesman said: “We apologise for any inconvenience this road closure may cause.
“We are writing to local residents to explain what we are doing and warning signs are being erected too."
He added: “There is already a weight limit on this bridge but the width restrictions ensure that HGVs cannot use the bridge, thereby protecting the bridge.”
