Biggin Hill International Air Fair 2009

The Biggin Hill International Air Fair is not only one of the most famous worldwide aviation events in existence but it is also the largest privately organised air show in Europe. Visitors in their thousands flock to Biggin Hill Airport, the former World War Two fighter station, for the great mix of flying display participants and ground attractions, offering fun and entertainment for all the family.

The gates open at 8am and the uninterrupted flying display is usually between the hours of 11.45am and 5.30pm. You can buy your tickets online at their discounted price or purchase them on the day of your visit at the entrance gates.

THE Red Arrows will fly in a V-formation salute with a Boeing 747 at this summer’s Biggin Hill International Air Fair.

Flying their nine Hawk T1 jets, the RAF aerobatic team will be appearing on both days of the show on the weekend of June 27 and 28.

On the Sunday the nine-ship team will fly in a V-formation with a Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-400 to mark the 25th anniversary of when the airline was launched by Richard Branson.

Mr Branson, who is president of Virgin Atlantic, said: “This is a welcome and valued honour for our 25th birthday and I am very proud that one of our fleet Boeing 747s will be performing a flypast at Biggin Hill with the world-famous Red Arrows team.”
