Big hearted hosts wanted!
Depaul Uk, the Uk's largest youth homelessness charity is running a project alognside Bromley council to provide emergency accomodation to young homeless people, ensuring they do not have to sleep on the streets.
We are currently lookig for people in Bromley who can spare a room and change the life of a young homeless person.
Nightstop London is a unique community response to youth homelessness. With your help we can offer vulnerable young people a safe place to sleep whilst we work to find a long-term solution.
The young people helped by the scheme will be homeless or threatened with homelessness for a variety of reasons. Some may be experiencing family disruption, upheaval or loss; others may be leaving residential or foster care, for example.
We carry out extensive risk assessments to ensure the safety of both our hosts and the young people. We know that this scheme is not suitable for every homeless young person and only place people with low support needs.
“That night I went to bed feeling safe and comforted. I stayed with various hosts while they found me somewhere permanent and they were all lovely and reassuring. Overall Nightstop made a big difference to me."
