A BLANKET speed limit of 20mph will not be brought in across the borough’s roads.
Bromley Council’s portfolio holder for the environment, Councillor Colin Smith, has said he will not be bringing in such a proposal.
Speaking at a full council meeting on April 28, he said: “Where accidents have occurred and residents would like to have a lower speed limit I am prepared to consider them.
“But I think a blanket cover of 20mph would be completely unworkable due to the many different types of road in the borough.”
He was speaking in response to a question posed by Councillor Peter Fookes who asked if Cllr Smith had plans to introduce it.
