A CRUSHED car is on display outside Bromley South train station to show motorists what happens if you drive without insurance.
Bromley Council along with Bromley police are working together to try and crackdown on uninsured drivers.
The crushed car displays a number plate reading RU IN5URED.
Portfolio holder for public protection and safety, Councillor Colin Bloom, said: “We want to make sure that the message gets across loud and clear.
“We simply won’t tolerate uninsured drivers in the borough.
“Not only is it illegal but it’s dangerous and anti-social too.
“We’re catching and cracking down on drivers if they don’t have insurance, so be warned.
“The one simple way to avoid losing your car is to make sure you always have proper insurance.”
Anyone caught without insurance will have their vehicle confiscated, face a hefty fine and a deadline of seven or 14 days to get insured before they can claim it back.
Failure to do so will result in the vehicle being sold or destroyed.
