Student wins competition to design new Bromley CYP Trust logo

Post  Staff on Sun Apr 19, 2009 5:47 pm

An enterprising young student from Beckenham has won a competition to create a new logo for the Bromley Children and Young People Trust. Milosz Spisz received an award for his design at the Trust’s annual forum. The 17-year-old student at Kelsey Park Sports College moved to the UK from Poland three years ago and hopes to work as a designer in the future.

Councillor Ernest Noad, Bromley Council’s Portfolio Holder for Children and Young People, said: “I would like to congratulate Milosz on his great design for the Bromley CYP Trust logo. This shows what wealth of talent we have among our Borough’s young people. The annual forum is an opportunity for professionals to listen to what parents, carers and children have to say about the services available to them.”

Gillian Pearson, Director of Bromley’s CYP Services, said: “Our aim is for all our schools and pre-school settings to be outstanding so that every young person gets the very best chance in life. The new logo illustrates working in partnership with other organisations to achieve that goal.”

The Trust is a partnership between the Council and a wide range of other organisations, including children's health services, schools and colleges, Bromley Police, Bromley Mytime, Connexions, and the independent (private, and voluntary and community) sectors. Its annual forum at Bromley Education Development Centre, Bromley Common, on Tuesday 24 March, also included performances by Year 10 dance students of Hayes School and singer Hakeem Montague, of Kelsey Park Sports College.
