11+ preparation - 6 month programme including intensive summer course (Monday 2nd - Friday 6th August 2010 and Monday 9th August to Friday 13th August 2010)

11+ examination time can be exhausting and stressful, which reduces chances of success and erodes the parent-child relationship. Our 6 month programme provides ongoing support, guidance and preparation to help you maximise your child's potential. Our summer courses are also thoroughly enjoyable: one of the biggest pitfalls for children and parents alike is boredom.

We go a step further than other similar courses, offering parents specific advice and guidance to help them negotiate the complex 11+ system, ranging from guidelines on motivating your child to a personalised post-course preparation timetable.

    Personal Programme
We prepare a personal programme for each pupil on the intensive summer course and beyond. This is important: it means no child is bored or over-stretched too soon, and each child learns only the necessary skills for their target school(s). Where requested, we weight preparation in favour of preferred schools as well as covering topics necessary for 2nd, 3rd or 4th choice schools.

Our Principal, Mrs Annette Pateman BSc PgDip PGCE, says:

"We give a bespoke support package from the moment you register, when we discuss your child and desired schools in detail, to the moment they get a place. In between, we offer individual preparation timetables (for before and after the summer course), parents' evenings for guidance and advice, daily reports on your child's progress during the summer course and, if necessary, support with appeals.

Finally, this is a programme that encourages, excites and builds confidence. These aspects of preparation are vital - and too often forgotten."
