A 12-YEAR-OLD boy remains in intensive care after his bike was in collision with a car in Bromley yesterday afternoon (June 9).
The accident, involving a Honda Accord, happened in Rangefield Road at around 5pm.
The boy was taken to Lewisham Hospital with internal bleeding and serious injuries to his head and pelvis.
He was transferred to St George’s Hospital in the early hours of this morning (June 10) where his condition is described as stable.
He woke up this afternoon and doctors are still monitoring him.
Rangefield Road was closed until around 10.10pm because of the accident at the junction with Southover.
A 35-year-old woman from Bromley was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, making a false statement to an insurance company to obtain insurance and driving not in accordance with a licence.
A 45-year-old man from Bromley was also arrested on suspicion of making a false statement to an insurance company to obtain insurance.
Both people have been bailed to return to Bromley police station on July 13.
